Job Description

Job Description Own the details that make our spaces work

By the time the building hums to life, your work is already setting the tone for a focused, comfortable day. As our Facilities Sanitation Specialist, you bring consistency, care, and pride to every surface, supply closet, and shared space—making a visible impact that everyone can feel.

A day in this role

Start strong with a plan you built: a reliable weekly cleaning schedule you maintain independently after initial guidance. You move through offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and the shop floor with a practiced eye, executing routine cleaning and quickly troubleshooting anything unexpected. You keep both buildings stocked with the right supplies, communicate regular progress updates to the Facilities Manager, and follow safety protocols every time. You spot ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs, and when special projects pop up, you jump in without missing a beat.

How you’ll contribute

  • Create and manage a dependable weekly cleaning plan; work independently after onboarding.
  • Perform daily custodial routines with precision and consistency across all spaces.
  • Maintain inventory and restock both buildings so teams always have what they need.
  • Provide regular updates and status reports to the Facilities Manager.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Troubleshoot custodial challenges as they arise.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed; no two days are identical.

What you bring

  • Hands-on knowledge of custodial equipment, supplies, and best-practice cleaning methods.
  • Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong, positive relationships with staff across the facility.
  • Ability to safely operate a floor scrubber machine.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Who will thrive

  • Detail-focused organizers who take pride in consistent results.
  • Doers who move with urgency and efficiency.
  • Adaptable problem-solvers open to new ideas.
  • People who pivot quickly when priorities change.
  • Self-starters who anticipate what’s next.

Schedule and physical demands

  • Schedule: Full-time, hourly | Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Flexibility: Occasional evenings/weekends may be needed for special projects or emergencies
  • Physical requirements: Regular standing, walking, and use of hands/arms; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; possible exposure to dust, fumes, and odors typical of a facility environment

Eligibility

U.S. Person Requirement: Due to U.S. export control compliance, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or hold protected status under asylum/refugee status.
