Responsibilities
- Control access points and verify identification.
- Conduct bag checks and security screenings when required.
- Monitor guest behavior and venue activity.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures.
- De-escalate conflicts and disturbances professionally.
- Remove disruptive patrons when necessary.
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the venue.
- Protect VIP guests, performers, and staff.
- Work closely with management, bartenders, and local law enforcement when needed.
- Complete incident reports and communicate important information to supervisors.
- Remain alert and professional throughout the entire shift.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older (21+ preferred).
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Prior security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or nightlife experience is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Security experience in bars, clubs, concerts, or special events.
- CPR/AED Certification.
- Connecticut Security Officer Certification (preferred but not required).
