Job Summary
We’re seeking a vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to perform foot patrols, ensure safety, and provide outstanding customer service. This role emphasizes visibility, proactive observation, and professional communication to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols of assigned areas to maintain visibility and deter incidents
- Monitor access points and enforce site security policies
- Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
- Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally
- Use verbal de-escalation to manage and resolve conflicts
- Provide First Aid/CPR assistance when required
- Document all incidents and activities in the Belfry Reporting System
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding site conditions and safety concerns
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Unarmed Security License (Guard Card)
- CPR/First Aid, OC/Pepper Spray, Handcuffing, and Narcan certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in unarmed security, customer service, or related field required
- Excellent communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in demeanor and appearance
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
