MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties related to the preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of assembly, test equipment, and facilities including assisting with the mechanical, electrical, and production systems of the equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support; including, troubleshooting, modification, and creation of maintenance programs.
- Identify and implement safety equipment to ensure machinery is safe to operate
- Collaborates with production, operations, and other partners to identify, define, and solve equipment and operational issues.
- Perform maintenance following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and in support of maintenance and production schedules.
- Will assist with the installation of new equipment and or the relocation of existing equipment.
- Will work to obtain proper tools, supplies or materials to perform work including quoting, orders and maintaining spare parts.
- Understand and follow all FDA regulations, internal SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.
- Assist maintenance manager and other maintenance technicians as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years manufacturing maintenance experience or combination of education/training and experience.
- Technical Associates Degree in related discipline (Industrial Maintenance) is preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Safety minded associate with a strong safety record
- Excellent Teamwork and Detail Oriented
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity of cGMP guidelines and FDA requirements a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and move around for the entire shift (8-10 hours+ per day; usual schedule is M-F, starting at 6am-8am).
- Frequent and repetitive: bending, crouching, stooping, and reaching throughout entire shift.
- Occasionally lift 50-75 pounds, frequently lift 25-50 pounds.
- Ability to work in warehouse condition; little heating or cooling.
