Armed School Security Officer – ACT 235 Required$25.00 per hour | Full-Time | Dauphin County, PA


KRE Security, LLC is seeking one qualified, ACT 235-certified Armed Security Officer for a full-time school security assignment in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule in a professional school environment, with additional evening availability required as dictated by contractual events and operational needs.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Evening availability as required for contractual events
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional armed security presence on school grounds.
• Monitor entrances, hallways, and access points.
• Help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Complete required reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation.
• Communicate and coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement when necessary.
• Follow all KRE Security policies, client post orders, and applicable school security requirements.
  
  

Required Qualifications and Clearances


Applicants must possess or successfully complete all requirements applicable to this assignment, including:

• Current Act 235 certification (required before assignment).
• Act 126 training.
• Act 24 requirements.
• Act 55 training.
• FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) background clearance.
• ChildLine clearance.
• Required PPD testing.
• Any additional applicable school compliance documentation or training.
  
  

Important: The start date is contingent upon completion and verification of all required clearances, certifications, training, documentation, and other assignment prerequisites. Clearance approval alone does not guarantee immediate placement.

Pay and Benefits

• $25.00 per hourFull-time employment.
• Paid time off (PTO), subject to company policy and applicable eligibility requirements.
• Health insurance eligibility after 60 days of employment for employees working at least 30 hours per week.

Probationary Period

New employees are subject to a 60-day probationary period. During this time, attendance, reliability, job performance, professionalism, and compliance with company and client requirements will be evaluated. Completion of the probationary period does not waive any ongoing job requirements or performance expectations.
