Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Sonographer to join our
outpatient imaging team. This role performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound exams including
small parts, OB/GYN, abdominal, chest, and echocardiography (echo). The ideal candidate
is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced
environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in:
Small parts (thyroid, scrotal, breast, etc.); Breast (including targeted and whole-breast ultrasound for diagnostic and
screening purposes); OB/GYN (including transabdominal and transvaginal studies); Abdominal and chest (gallbladder, liver, pancreas, kidneys, pleural effusion, etc.)
* Echocardiography (adult transthoracic studies); Capture high-quality images and anatomical information for interpretation by a
radiologist or cardiologist.
Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
Maintain accurate records and proper documentation in the electronic medical records
(EMR) system.
Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for maintenance.
Work collaboratively with other technologists, radiologists, and healthcare professionals
to deliver excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required
in: Abdomen (AB); OB/GYN (OB); Small Parts (as applicable)
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or RCS certification required for
echo.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
CPR/BLS certification (current).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and
team members.

Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering care with
professionalism and empathy.
Willingness to cross-train and assist in other modalities or specialties as needed.
