Job Overview
The Security Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the security team to ensure the safety and protection of employees, facilities, equipment, and company assets. This position oversees daily security operations, enforces company security policies, conducts security audits, and coordinates incident responses to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Duties
- Supervise, assign schedules, and coordinate daily activities for security personnel.
- Monitor security performance and ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct routine patrols, inspections, and facility checks to identify safety or security concerns.
- Monitor security systems, including cameras, alarms, and access control equipment; report any system failures or malfunctions.
- Conduct and document investigations regarding incidents, suspicious activities, and security breaches.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal departments during incidents as required.
- Provide coaching and ongoing training for security staff, including emergency protocols and workplace safety.
- Maintain and update emergency response plans, security procedures, and post orders.
- Prepare daily activity logs, incident reports, and personnel documentation accurately and timely.
- Participate in leadership meetings and provide recommendations to improve security protocols.

Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and conduct foot patrols for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials up to 25–40 lbs when required
- Able to respond quickly in emergency situations, including running, bending, or climbing stairs
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- May require working different shifts depending on operational needs (days, nights, weekends, or holidays)
- Must maintain alertness and situational awareness for long periods
- Ability to operate security equipment including radios, CCTV systems, access control, and communication devices
- Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful, high-pressure situations
