About the Opportunity
Firstline Security LLC is expanding its team for the event season and hiring dependable security professionals for hotel, resort, and convention-center assignments.
Most assignments will be based at The Diplomat Beach Resort & Convention Center in Hollywood, Florida, supporting conventions, conferences, corporate meetings, private functions, and other events. Additional assignments may be available at other South Florida locations.
We are seeking individuals who can combine effective security practices with courteous guest service. Officers must be comfortable working around hotel guests, event attendees, executives, vendors, and venue staff while maintaining a calm, attentive, and professional presence.
These positions are with Firstline Security LLC, not direct employment with the resort.
Available Positions and Pay
Access Control, Crowd Control, and Fire Watch — $18–$25 per hour
Pay depends on the assignment, relevant experience, licenses, certifications, and responsibilities. Duties may include credential verification, event entrance security, crowd management, patrols, restricted-area monitoring, and designated fire watch.
Executive Protection and Tactical Security — Compensation Discussed in Person. Rates start at 35$hr
Specialized assignments require relevant experience, documented training, appropriate licensing, and additional screening. Compensation and assignment requirements will be discussed during the interview and confirmed before placement.
Applicants will be considered for assignments that match their qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Access control and credential verification: Monitor assigned entrances, verify event badges and credentials, and control access to meeting rooms, ballrooms, convention areas, and other designated spaces.
- Hotel and convention-center patrols: Conduct assigned patrols, observe activity, identify safety concerns, and report blocked exits, unauthorized access, or suspicious behavior.
- Crowd management and guest assistance: Support orderly lines and pedestrian movement, provide directions, assist attendees, and address concerns through clear communication and de-escalation.
- Communication and incident response: Coordinate with Firstline supervisors, venue security, hotel personnel, and event organizers. Use radios professionally, document incidents accurately, and assist with emergencies within the scope of training and assigned responsibilities.
- Designated fire watch: When assigned and appropriately certified, perform dedicated fire watch duties, maintain required logs, and follow site-specific procedures and post orders.
All employees must respect guest privacy, protect confidential information, follow the chain of command, and enforce policies consistently and respectfully.
Required Licenses and Certifications
For this recruitment, Firstline Security LLC requires current Florida Class D and Class G licenses and a current Concealed Weapon or Firearm License, commonly called CCW, as company hiring requirements.
All assigned security duties must comply with applicable provisions of Chapter 493, Florida Statutes, and other applicable requirements. Personnel selected for armed assignments must provide verification of current required firearms qualifications.
Current CPR/AED, crowd management, and fire watch certifications are mandatory for designated positions. Specific certification requirements depend on the assignment and must be verified before placement.
Executive protection and tactical applicants must also demonstrate training and experience appropriate to those responsibilities. Possessing a license alone does not qualify an applicant for a specialized assignment.
Additional Qualifications
Reliability and transportation: Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from assigned locations, arrive on time, communicate accurately about availability, and honor accepted shifts.
Job-related English communication: Applicants must be able to speak, read, and write English sufficiently to understand post orders, communicate with guests and emergency responders, use a radio effectively, and complete incident reports. Additional language skills are welcome.
Judgment and conduct: Applicants must demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, integrity, and the ability to remain composed when addressing difficult situations.
Relevant experience: Hotel, resort, convention, event security, and customer-service experience are preferred. Relevant military, law enforcement, and executive protection experience will also be considered, and welcomed.
Employment is subject to verification of credentials, work eligibility, and applicable pre-employment screening.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Assignments may involve extended periods of standing at security posts and walking patrol routes throughout hotel, convention-center, walking up and down stairs and event spaces. Officers must remain attentive, communicate effectively, and respond appropriately to incidents during their assigned shifts.
For designated assignments, duties may also include occasionally lifting, carrying, or moving job-related equipment or supplies weighing 30–50 pounds, using safe handling methods and appropriate assistance or equipment as needed.
Work may take place indoors or outdoors and may involve crowded areas, event noise, and changing weather conditions.

Uniforms and Professional Presentation
Employees must report to work in clean, well-maintained uniforms and follow written, job-related standards for hygiene, dress, footwear, and required equipment.
Professional presentation means being prepared for duty, wearing the assigned uniform correctly, and interacting with guests, clients, and colleagues respectfully.

Scheduling and Availability
This is event-based employment, not a fixed Monday–Friday schedule. Workdays, start times, shift lengths, locations, and available hours vary according to event schedules and client needs.
Assignments may include weekdays, weekends, early mornings, evenings, overnights, and holidays. Applicants should provide accurate availability and respond promptly to scheduling communications. A fixed number of weekly hours is not guaranteed.
