Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMCompensation: $$25 - $35 per hour
Employment Type: Direct HireOverviewAllegiance Staffing is seeking a highly skilled, safety-focused Maintenance Technician to join a well-established company that has proudly served Southern Indiana for over 63 years. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of production equipment across the facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong electrical and mechanical expertise who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.As the primary in-house maintenance professional, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a wide range of industrial equipment while supporting continuous production operations.Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance on forklifts and production equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair shop and production equipment, including:
    • CNC Brake Presses and CNC machinery
    • Shears
    • Welding equipment
    • Burn tables and laser equipment
    • Overhead cranes
    • Beam line and angle line systems
    • Electrical and pneumatic hand tools
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems ranging from single phase to 480 volts.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, manuals, and technical data.
  • Perform hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs, including replacing:
    • Drive motors
    • Bearings
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
  • Examine and test completed repairs and new equipment installations.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and communicate corrective actions and supply needs to management.
  • Operate forklifts and man-lifts safely and efficiently.
  • Support production needs by working overtime when required.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding equipment, repairs, and parts procurement.
  • Track maintenance-related expenses and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Research equipment manuals, vendor information, and discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and historical documentation.
  • Generate maintenance status reports and assist with month-end closing and annual audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver responsive, customer-focused service to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience, including at least 3 years working with multi-equipment industrial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance principles, systems, and procedures.
  • Proven experience with CNC equipment and automated machinery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop processes and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and ensure projects are completed accurately.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs repetitively.
  • Strong safety awareness; must pass pre-employment and random drug screening.
