Keep reading to learn more about this exciting role!Primary Responsibilities of Site Technician:
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on all machinery, ensuring proper and safe functionality. Complete the Weekly Machine Maintenance report and submit the forms to the administrative team for tracking.
- Adherence to Safety Protocols: Consistently follow all safety procedures and regulations. Ensure Lock Out and Tag Out protocols are properly followed during repairs or maintenance. Immediately report any safety concerns to the Site Manager or Shift Lead.
- Low Voltage Equipment Repairs: Perform repairs only on low voltage (24V) equipment, ensuring all repairs are executed in line with safety protocols and standards.
- Addressing Equipment Issues: Quickly address any mechanical or equipment malfunctions to avoid production interruptions. Report unresolved issues to the Site Manager and the operations team.
- Management of Tools and Parts: Ensure all tools and parts are properly accounted for and stored in the tool room. Keep the tool storage area organized and clean.
- Compliance with GMP and SQF Standards: Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines to ensure that all tasks are completed in a compliant and safe manner.
- Collaboration with Team Members: Work cohesively with the team, collaborating with colleagues and management to resolve issues, complete necessary repairs, and assist in other production activities as needed.
- Support for Production Tasks: Be flexible and complete any production tasks assigned by the Site Manager. Provide assistance to the production team as needed to achieve operational objectives.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge for Site Technician:
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with equipment maintenance and repair, particularly with low voltage (24V) systems.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking skills to swiftly identify and resolve equipment issues, minimizing production delays.
- Attention to Detail: Capable of carefully tracking tools, parts, and maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with established guidelines.
- Effective Communication: Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with the Site Manager, Shift Lead, and operations team about equipment issues and other relevant matters.
Job Requirements for Site Technician:
- Experience: Prior experience in equipment maintenance, especially with low voltage systems, is preferred but not mandatory. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Physical Abilities: Must be able to perform physical tasks related to maintenance, including lifting up to 55 lbs and handling various tools and equipment.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Required to follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Teamwork and Communication: Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from the Site Manager and Shift Lead.
