Unarmed Security Officer Part Time
Locations: Reading & Hamburg, PA | Weekend & Overnight Opportunities
Pay: Varies by site
+$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential
KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for permanent overnight assignments in Reading and Hamburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are perfect for candidates seeking stable, part-time overnight work in a professional, structured environment.

- Sat 4:00pm-4:00am Reading, PA
- Sun 7:30am-12:30pm Reading, PA
- Sat-Sun 3:00pm-11:00pm Robesonia, PA
- Sat 11:00am-9:00pm Leesport, PA
- Sat 9:00pm-7am & Sun 11:00pm-7:00am Leesport, PA
- Sat-Sun 3:00pm-11:00pm Reading, PA
- Fri-Sun 11:00pm-7:00am Reading, PA
- Sat-Sun 3:00pm-11:00pm Hamburg, PA
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible, professional security presence during overnight hours
- Conduct routine foot and mobile patrols of assigned properties
- Monitor access control points, alarms, and site conditions
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs (Belfry Software)
- Enforce post orders, site policies, and standard operating procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, site contacts, and fellow officers
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience strongly preferred in:
- Unarmed security
- Military service
- Law enforcement
- Experience with patrol operations, access control, and incident reporting preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and customer-service-oriented demeanor
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a mandatory background check
- Required in-person orientation prior to assignment
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly rate varies by site and assignment
- +$0.25/hour for military veterans and active-duty service members
- Overtime paid for hours worked over 40/week
- Full-time eligibility at 30+ hours/week
- Paid Time Off: 24 hours accrued after successful completion of probation
