JOHNSON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

Now Hiring: Full-Time Seasonal Grounds Position (April–October)

We are seeking a hardworking, dependable individual to join our team in a Full-Time Seasonal Grounds Position from April through October. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining property, and is comfortable working around agricultural and event environments.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Days Off: Flexible
• Season: April–October
• Availability Required: Must be available to work during the week of the County Fair

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

• Operating landscaping equipment and mowers
• Grounds maintenance, debris cleanup, and general property upkeep
• Assisting with projects and routine maintenance
• Preparing indoor and outdoor spaces for events
• Maintaining safe, clean, and presentable grounds
• Cleaning stalls and assisting with animal-related upkeep
• Operating farming equipment
• Arena event preparation and maintenance

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physically capable of performing manual labor
• Comfortable operating equipment (training provided as needed)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
