SCOPE OF POSITION: Maintenance workers will be responsible for all areas of maintenance for the entire agency. It is a skilled working position that will include performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, vehicles, residential buildings, offices and equipment. Work is assigned by Maintenance Director according to duties listed. Work requires independent judgment, organizational, and management skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform on-call responsibilities as required.
Repairs doors, door frames, furniture and install temporary partitions as needed and
where required.
Operate wood working tools.
Install/repair masonry work, plumbing fixtures and steam lines, electric circuits,
plugs and fixtures.
Schedule oiling and greasing of machinery.
Painting interior and exterior of buildings as required.
Schedule and maintain records of annual vehicle inspections, oil changes, tire rotation, vehicle mileage, etc. Perform masonry work on walks and walls; flushes out hot water tanks, monitors hot water temperatures. Schedules and monitors snow removal. Performs other duties as required.
Repair and adjust laundry, refrigerator and air conditioning equipment.
Design, construct, and erect wheelchair ramps, decks, porch additions.
Schedules and oversee annual furnace inspections, flushes out hot water tanks,
monitor hot water temperatures.
Schedules and monitors snow removal and lawn care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
