Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join a prominent Heat Treating facility. This role requires hands-on experience with heavy industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, proactive in preventative maintenance, and able to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and heat-treating equipment
- Diagnose and repair issues involving hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, and mechanical components
- Conduct welding and light fabrication to maintain and modify equipment as needed
- Maintain furnaces, quench tanks, cooling systems, and other heat treating machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment records
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing or heat treating environment
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, mechanical systems, and welding/fabrication
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and industrial safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in high-temperature environments, and operate industrial tools/equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with furnace or heat treating equipment maintenance
- Basic electrical troubleshooting (a plus)
- Forklift or crane certification
