The Role
We're seeking a Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical background to keep our equipment and facilities running at their best. You'll be responsible for maintenance across all production equipment, minimizing disruptions to warehouse operations and maximizing the useful life of our machines — through both scheduled preventive maintenance and fast, effective emergency repairs.
What You'll Do
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance to keep production equipment running efficiently
- Execute the preventive maintenance program and recommend improvements or upgrades to the schedule
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime
- Inform facility personnel/supervisors of necessary modifications or system malfunctions affecting operations
- Observe all OSHA and facility safety rules, including proper PPE use; report injuries, accidents, and hazards immediately
- Follow all Food Safety guidelines and GMPs, including maintaining a clean, orderly work environment
- Promote equipment safety and help develop programs to respond to unexpected or emergency situations
- Read equipment manuals and technical resources to ensure proper operation and repair
- Audit and monitor systems, equipment logs, program logs, and team effectiveness
- Maintain accurate and complete maintenance paperwork
- Support the Maintenance Manager with department activities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
Requirements:
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required; maintenance license/certifications a plus
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment; food manufacturing experience a plus
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience (115V/220V single phase; 208V/230V/480V 3-phase)
- Basic plumbing, metalworking, welding, machining, pump repair, compressors, hydraulics, and pneumatics a plus
- Drafting and blueprint reading knowledge
- HVAC, PLC, lift truck, and combustion engine experience a plus
- General mechanical troubleshooting skills across various equipment types
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Availability to work any shift with weekend on-call rotation
- Must be able to lift/push 100 lbs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
