Job Description

Position Summary:


The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, andsafety of all manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, experience with PLC systems, and excellent troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and support efficient production operations. Looking for candidates within various industries: Automotive, machining, food and beverage, packaging, etc.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery, automated systems, and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to quickly resolve equipment issues.
  • Work with PLC systems (troubleshooting, basic programming, and modifications as required).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Follow and enforce safety procedures and lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.



Required:

  • High school diploma or GED (Technical or Trade School preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred).
  • Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, VFDs, and servo systems.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and OSHA standards.


Preferred:


  • Associate degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Electrical Technology.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Knowledge of robotics or automated production systems.
