Role Overview
The Dredge Project Estimator is a key member of Curtin Maritimes estimating team, responsible for developing accurate, competitive bids for dredging and marine construction projects. This role involves analyzing bid documents, calculating dredge volumes and production rates, preparing detailed cost estimates, identifying risks, and collaborating with operations, procurement, and project management. The estimator supports proposal development from initial review through project award, and transitions estimates to the execution team upon award.
Key Responsibilities

<li>Review RFPs, drawings, specifications, survey data, and geotechnical reports to determine project scope and requirements.</li>
<li>Perform quantity take-offs, production estimates, and cost breakdowns for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, factoring in mobilization, fuel, booster placement, and pump dynamics.</li>
<li>Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for scope, pricing accuracy, and cost reasonableness; manage historical cost data to support future estimates.</li>
